    • Heading levels are inferred from font size, and bullet/numbered lists are detected automatically and rewritten as Markdown.
    • Scanned PDFs (photos of pages) have no text layer, so they can’t be converted here — that would require OCR, which runs as heavy server/AI work.
    • Because everything runs locally, this is a safe way to prep private PDFs as Markdown context for an AI model without uploading them anywhere.
